Monelle ("we", "us", "our") runs themonelle.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our store or place an order, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We keep it deliberately short and plain.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Order details — name, shipping address, email, phone number, and the items you buy.
- Payment details — handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Email sign-up — your email address if you join the Sunday Letter, plus your 10% welcome code.
- Messages — anything you send us by email or through our contact form.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages you view on our store.
- Cookie identifiers used for cart persistence, analytics and advertising measurement.
2. How we use it
- To process, pack and ship your order, and to send order and delivery updates.
- To handle returns, refunds and customer service requests.
- To improve our product range, page layout and checkout flow.
- To send marketing emails — only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe from any email in one click.
- To measure and improve our advertising, and to show relevant ads to people who visited our store.
- To detect fraud and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
3. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

- Fulfilment and shipping — warehouses and carriers receive the name, address and items needed to deliver your order.
- Email and analytics platforms — to send order and marketing emails and to measure site traffic.
- Advertising platforms — aggregated, hashed event data used to measure and target advertising.
- Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information (subject to records we must keep for tax and accounting).
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw marketing consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@themonelle.com. We respond within 30 days. We will never charge you for making a privacy request.
6. How long we keep data
- Order records: 7 years (tax and accounting requirements).
- Marketing email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not email you again.
- Analytics data: up to 26 months, then aggregated or deleted.
- Customer service messages: 2 years.
7. Security
Our store runs over HTTPS, payment data is handled by a PCI-DSS compliant processor, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and review our setup regularly.
8. Children
Our store is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
We are a small independent brand and some of our service providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify email subscribers.
